It is with great sorrow that we announce that Jimmie Pickett, 78, died October 30, 2012 after battling his second round of cancer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd in Forest Meadows Hilltop Club House at 2:00pm. Potluck reception.
He was born February 27, 1934 in Fort Worth Texas to Monte and Ruby Pickett. He married his wife Sandy and moved to California in 1964.
Jimmie was an active member of the Moose Lodge, Sons in Retirement (SIRS), and Forest Meadows Men's Golf Club.
He loved to play golf, and his wife Sandy had to take up the game to keep up with him.
He worked for American Airlines for 45 years as a Passenger Service Manager, before retiring and moving to Forest Meadows.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Sandy; three children and their spouses Jimmie and Mary Pickett; Kim and Dan Thompson, Nancy Pickett and Dan Tedrick, 6 grandchildren, Andrew Thompson, Ashley Luciani, Bronwen Tedrick, Ellen Cawthorn, Jim Catanich, and Cherie Clark.
