It may be a bit of a come-down, but David Axelrod is being hired as Legal Counsel for the Murphys Sanitary District at their special meeting on November 27, 2012.
When Airola told them he wanted to cut back, they put out a request for proposals and on the agenda for Tuesday at 4:30 PM is to approve hiring Axelrod.
Now we don't really think its the same Axelrod as we have seen on TV for years, but is he a good Democrat from Chicago? We'll have to wait and see.
Also on the agenda is a closed session item to discuss the possibility of hiring a new General Manager from those who applied.
Whoever takes that job should be warned in advance of the violent outbursts inside and outside the meeting rooms that have taken place at Murphys Sanitary, due to certain members of the public. We wish them luck. They're gonna need it!
