Who Will Take Boyce's Place as Calaveras County Administrative Officer??

There is a lot of talk about Jeanne Boyce's departure from the CAO position at this time. Why
she is really leaving is not important.

What is imortant is who will take her place!

Who do you think would make a good CAO of those who live in Calaveras County?

Or do you think it's better to hire someone from outside the County, with no bias or political agenda?

Let us know how you feel about it.

The CAO actually controls what the Board of Supervisors gets as far as policy, expenditures, etc. It should be someone from outside the county in my opinion.

Knowing her, she has already hand-picked someone to take her place.

There's no way that Clay Hawkins will get it. He probably doesn't want it anyway.

Could they be bringing back Brent Harrington again?

It will have to be someone who can deal with the radical Auditor, don't you think?

You're right about the auditor! Just jealous, and a bit of a troublemaker, I think!

I think I know. But I'm not gonna tell ya.

They wouldn't hire one of the Supervisors who will be without a job in January, would they? There are three of them.

If the position is left vacant, but the responsibility placed on the subordinate with a percentage value increase in income, think of the savings to the county.

If Clay Hawkins is appointed to CAO, it will show why he transferred from the position of Captain with the Sheriff's Dept. to a lesser paying #2 spot in the CAO's office. Check to see if his last position (Captain) pays more than CAO. CAO for a couple of years retire out with an increased retirement value. SWEEEET!
