Fire near Hogan Dam

  UPDATE:  Thanks to quick response from CalFire they were able to contain this fire, which could have been devastating. When we know the details, we will post them.

       UPDATE:  Looks like they are calling out all available engines and air on this one. Another Cal Fire engine flew by on Hwy 49 headed for Valley Springs.


    UPDATE at 2:25 PM:  Three more engines and a dozer were just dispatched to this fire.  Also a
water tender has been dispatched to Hogan Fire.

    UPDATE at 2:15 PM:  2 more air tankers have been requested and one more helicopter for fire.

  UPDATE: at 2 PM:  Fire now reportedly 5 acres in size.  This fire  is near Vista del Lago Drive.

    July 28, 2014 at  1:50 PM:  Cal Fire is responding to a fire reported on the back side of Hogan Dam, near Deer Creek. It's not clear how large or what the cause was. It was reported to CHP as
starting at the gun range.

   Air support has been requested from Columbia. Fire was around 3 acres at the time CalFire arrived, near a gun range.
