Meth found in Angels Police traffic stop

   According to Angels Camp Police, on January 28, 2015 at around 10:30 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a Chevrolet pickup for expired registration on Bret Harte Road near Booster Way
in Angels Camp.

   The officer made contact with the three occupants of the vehicle and identified the driver as 62 year old Murphys resident Robert Reeves.

   While speaking to Reeves, the officer observed a glass jar of marijuana in the vehicle in plain sight.  A subsequent search of Reeves, the passengers and the vehicle was conducted.

   The officer located 18.2 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale, zip lock baggies, two spoons
and a methamphetamine smoking pipe in Reeves possession.

   The other two passengers were released at the scene.  Reeves was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, Transporting a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia.
