Warning to Calaveras property owners - land grab!!

Another plan, this one called the Calaveras County Regional Bicycle, Pedestrian and Safe Routes to School Plan is trying to land grab from any property owners along Hwy 49 in Calaveras County.

Using government grant money (our taxes) they are devising a way to get land along Hwy 49 in both San Andreas and Angels Camp for bike paths.

Now, no one is saying we don't need bike paths; but we need to put them far, far away from any highways.

They don't seem to study the facts that so many cyclists are killed and injured when trying to ride next to and in many cases, in traffic.

Sadly, the Calaveras Council of Governments saw the money possibility and have now jumped on board.

Also the City of Angels Camp and the Calaveras County see that there is nothing but grant money for staff in this type of study.

It's the people who don't own the land that want to invade the land of others who have worked so hard to own it; as the county says, many on welfare who can't afford cars and those DUI 's  who lose their licenses.

So beware, landowners; the government is always after your land!  Don't be fooled. If you want to give away your land, fine, but be cautious. It will not help YOU!

The City of Angels got grants to study a trail along Angels Creek, and we have heard nothing good can happen except crime and filth, as happens in other areas.

Protect your rights and your property!!

What a great place for bike trails would be the Tryon Ranch. Wow! They should go for that. He will be thrilled, i'm sure.
