After hearing the extremists like Donald Trump rant against Mexican immigrants we thought what a relief that we are not Republicans.
Then we saw a woman named Vickie Reinke,
who claims she represents all Republicans in Calaveras County, state that they are all in favor of an asphalt plant on one of our rivers and in a residential neighborhood.
Two well-known Calaveras County Republicans stood up immediately and said Reinke's statement was not in agreement with all Republicans, as she stated repeatedly. Of course, Reinke lives in Angels Camp, Greenhorn Creek--far away from an asphalt plant she wants to force on Rancho Calaveras Republicans.
She should not speak for ALL Republicans unless she got their approval. She makes a mockery (more than usual) of the Republican Party.
Along with her was another extremist Al Segalla, who says he represents the Calaveras Taxpayers (HUH?) agreeing with Reinke, Tunno and Kearney (not to mention Maurer) that an asphalt plant is a wonderful idea for Rancho Calaveras.
Now we have to state that his club does NOT represent us as Calaveras Taxpayers! Does he represent you???
After watching that video, we had to thank our lucky stars that the Tea Party, which is who these people really represent, are totally the responsibility of the Republican Party.
We are now and plan to remain, Independents, as a result of the racism, extremist hate of certain immigrants, and threats against President Obama.
They should all, we believe, go back and hide under the rocks they came from.
