UPDATE: Per Cal Fire, as of 10 PM on July 25, 2015 the Lowell Fire was 4000 acres. 9 helicopters, 55 engines, and 9 air tankers are currently assigned to this fire. They have 0 containment.
As of 5:55 PM Cal Fire has the Lowell Fire in Nevada and Placer Counties grown to 3000 acres since it started at 2:30 PM. Does this seem even possible?
The Northeast portion of Cascade Shores is now under mandatory evacuation. This is a scary fire. We don't even have a count of how many men or engines are battling this fire yet.
