Guy Meyers entertains Calaveras Turkey Supervisors

"Oh, Debbie dearest, you are such
a cute little turkey!"
At the Calaveras Supervisor meeting on Tuesday July 28, 2015 the 5 turkeys we call Supervisors heard the Appeal of the Denial from the Planning Commission to split zone Guy Meyers property.

Mr. Meyers of Valley Springs, owns Forgotten Knowledge, the medical marijuana dispensary in Valley Springs.
He started out his appeal by showing them maps that prove the property was initially zoned both CP and C2 and also evidence that the PLANNING staff, not himself, wrote that he was some type of antique or bookstore 5 years ago, when he applied for a business license.

Then he passed out photos of his mother, which later he offered to take back. Why do these Supervisors (if you can call them that) make a mockery of everything they do?

During the meeting it came out that District Attorney Yook tried to prosecute him for FRAUD based on that initial business license application.

Yook believes pursuing this businessman was more important that prosecuting a violent criminal in the county.  Is she the worst District Attorney we have ever had?  Possibly.

DA Yook is so anti-business that she will do anything to harm business people and refuses to even investigate crimes against them or prosecute those who commit crimes against businessowners in Calaveras.

Mr. Meyers passed out pictures of his mother, which we thought was very sweet, and explained that every year he renewed his business license and no one at the county tried to deny his business.

This was all about what is described as "split zoning", making a portion of a parcel a different zone code that the rest. What is the big DEAL?  This is NOT illegal, and you could tell which Supervisors simply are ANTI-Marijuana.

We don't mean that these Supervisors are incapable of anything; they could possible guard a flock of turkeys until the turkeys ran.

Guy will always be Guy.

It's a straw man to accuse anyone of being anti-business when someone neglects to tell the truth on their business application.

Guy is very intimidating when he gets caught. He plays every sympathy card he can.

Kenny comes later.

This business is just fine for the area. He screwed it up by misrepresentation.

What fault does the county have, for not throughly reading the application?
