Brown water in Rancho Calaveras safe?? CCWD says low lead!

   When we were told about the brown water in the Rancho and La Contenta areas yesterday, we asked CCWD if it had been tested for lead.

   Joel Metzger, their spokesman, said that they conduct tests regularly and that lead levels are low. He did not say if they had tested tap water since it turned brown. We will advise you when we hear about that testing.
