Fireworks reported in Ebbetts Pass

   Although it is well known and posted on the state sign in Murphys that NO FIREWORKS are allowed in Ebbetts Pass, there are those who ignore the law.

   In fact around 10:50 PM on July 3, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office received a call that fireworks were being set off on Shoshone Drive near Chumash Court in Camp Connell.  No report was taken of the incident.

   Another call reported fireworks being shot off in Tamarack with no report taken.

   Many other calls were received by the Calaveras Sheriff in Copperopolis and Valley Springs about fireworks.
