Robert Kirk Andersen of Angels Camp

   On Monday July 11, 2016 Robert Kirk Andersen, who was 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Angels Camp.

   Kirk was born December 19, 1959 at Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas to Robert C. and Joann (Henley) Andersen.

   Kirk attended Mark Twain Elementary School and Bret Harte High School where he excelled in wrestling and won many championship matches. He was honored in the
Bret Harte High School Wrestling Hall of Fame.

   After graduation Kirk attended San Joaquin Delta College where he earned a certificate in auto mechanics.

   He began his career as a mechanic for Stewarts Ford in San Andreas.  He worked for Western Sources Talc Plant at Toyon for several years before attaining his general contractor's license.

   Kirk was a skilled carpenter and stone mason and worked for many county residents over the years. He was a member of E Clampus Vitas and enjoyed fishing and being with his many friends throughout the county.

   Kirk is survived by his father Robert C. Andersen, stepmother Joan V. Andersen and brother Keith Andersen of Copperopolis.

   He is also survived by a niece and nephew along with two great nieces and one great nephew. 

  In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal services and he will be buried with his mother, grandmother and grandfather in Altaville Protestant Cemetery in Altaville.

   For those who wish to they may make a donation in Kirks' name to the American Heart Association.

   Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
