Robert Dean Kincanon

   July 4, 1922 - June 29, 2016

   Dean was born in Waterford and passed away peacefully at Avalon Health Care with Wanda and Lance Oneto by his side.


   He attended Oakdale High School and then he entered the Army, where he was a member of the 45th Tank Batallion in WWII.

   He drove truck for Patton's 3rd Army and liberated Dachau concentration camp.

   After the war he played baseball for the Modesto Reds
for 2 years as a pitcher. He retired from Calaveras Cement Plant as a truck driver.

   He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2600.

     He is survived by several nieces and nephews and loving friends Lance and Wanda Oneto. He was preceded in death by his wife Jo Kincannon.

   Burial will be at San Joaquin National Cemetery on July 26, 2016 at 11 AM.

   A Celebration of Life will be held on July 28, 2016 at 12 Noon at VFW Post 2600 in
San Andreas.

   Thank you to Avalon Health Care and Hospice for the loving care they gave Uncle Dean while he was there.

   San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
