According to a Calaveras Sheriff's Office press release, on December1,2016 around 1:41 PM deputies responded to a structure fire in the 12000 block of Armstrong Road in Sheep Ranch.
Deputies arrived on scene
and observed a ingle family home fully engulfed by fire. Christopher John Trotter (44) of Sheep Ranch was contacted on scene and arrested for allegedly setting the home on fire.
No injuries were reported and the occupants of the residence are accounted for. The details and motive for the arson are under investigation. Christopher Trotter was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Arson, bail is $250,000..
