On December 26, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Office arrested Dean Owen Newby (59) of Valley Springs at his residence on Hedgepeth Road.
Newby was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Spouse, Threatening a Crime with Intent to Terrorize and False Imprisonment with Violence, all felonies.
