Calvin Charles Williams of Valley Springs

  Calvin "Cal" Charles Williams was an Amazing son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend,
Korean War Veteran and 40 year resident of Valley Springs.

   Mr. Williams passed away peacefully at his Valley Springs home on January 20, 2018 after a short battle with cancer, with his daughter by his side.

   Born April 20, 1936 to Earl Frances and Elsie Pearl in Springville, Pennsylvania, he had eight Seldon Williams of Pennsylvania, David Williams of Pennsylvania and Donald Williams of Georgia.
siblings, and is survived by brothers

   He entered the Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1944, then entered the Air Force in 1956 as an aircraft mechanic and was honorable discharged in 1960.

    He started a family in 1959 when he married his wife, Vernaliee Shaw, with whom he spent the next 50 years until her untimely death in 2009.  They had five children.

   He is survived by Cynthia Pearl Zink of Rogue River, Oregon, Troy David Williams of Lodi, Lori Jean Williams-Nielsen of Valley Springs, Pamela Lynn Willias of Stockton and Charles Edward Williams of Arnold.

   He had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He and his family moved to Valley Springs in 1978 and resided there for the next 40 years.

   He started Cal Williams Construction in the early 1980's as a General Contractor and continued til early 2010 when he retired.

   Loved and well respected by all those he knew. Always remembered. Never forgotten. May he rest in peace.

   A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
