Two die in Mokelumne Hill collision

  According to CHP on February 3, 2018 around 10 PM  CHP responded to a traffic collision on Hwy 49 at Center Street in Mokelumne Hill.

   The investigating officer determined that Victor Vieira (39) of Angels Camp
was driving his 2013 International northbound on Hwy 49 approaching Center Street.

   Susan Cloud (64)  of Copperopolis was driving her 1999 Dodge westbound on Center Street approaching Hwy 49, made a left turn on Hwy 49 directly into the path of Vieira's vehicle.

   The front of Vieira's vehicle collided with the left side of Cloud's vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries sustained by Cloud at the scene.

   Cloud's passenger, Raymond Ladd (63) of Angels Camp was transported from the scene by ambulance and he later succumbed to his injuries.

   Vieira sustained minor injuries, but refused transport. It is unknown at this time if alcohol/drugs were a factor in this collision.
