As we reported earlier, on May 7, 2019 around 11 AM Calaveras Sheriff deputies were called out on a report of a dead
body discovered on Murphys Grade Road, just outside Murphys.
A deceased person was located in Murphys Creek around the 800 block of Main Street. submerged in the water and had been located by citizens.
Murphys Grade Road was blocked off to process the scene. The descedent is a white male approximately 40 years old. Identification is being withheld for notification of family.
No further information is being released at this time pending investigation.
