A 66 year old man who road his bike out of Avery on the Arnold Rim Trail became lost and an all out search was launched, including a helicopter and Calaveras Sheriff's rescue group.
He was located in an extremely brushy area away from the trail, and was returned to his vehicle around 1 AM on January 1, 2020. He had an emergency locator on him, which helped locate him.
