In a press release earlier today, it was announced that after two years as General Manager of CCWD that Joone Lopez is going back to Southern California.
In a phone conversation with Ms. Lopez, she told us that her mother lives in Orange County, and that as an only child, she feels she needs to be where she is needed. Lopez stated that she has, "loved serving CCWD and living in Calaveras County," and that she will "miss everyone."
Ms. Lopez will aid in the transition to a new General Manager, and the Board of Directors will appoint an interim at their May 23 meeting, under closed session. She has been a great help to the Directors and CCWD and we know that they will miss her. We wish her luck in her future endeavors.
