Bear Seen in Copperopolis

Instead of "Oh, my gosh!
Look at the magnificent black bear, its
OMG, a horrid killer bear out
to get us. Call the cops!
How sad it is!
A report of a black bear seen crossing Littlejohn near the Town Square caused quite a stir at the Sheriff's Office on October 7, 2012 at 8:15 AM.

A Deputy Sheriff, Animal Services and  Fish and Game were all advised. And we're sure they called Cowboy Tyrone.

The Cowboy and his gang of 4 "hounders" will be busy for awile.

I have been hearing rumors of a bear in Copper (I am a resident) for several days - not one comment has been along the lines of a 'horrid, killer bear out to get us' - frankly, I am insulted. Copper people are not flighty, trigger happy idiots - we know about large predators and co-exist with them everyday. What I have been hearing is that this is very low for country for bear sightings - and a real concern for the welfare of the bear and the impact that he/she will put on the community. To whoever wrote that caption: I would like to see you if confronted by said bear in your yard - you may well wish that Mr. Tyron had indeed been a little busy - but not too busy to save you

So true. Responsible gun owners are now thrown under the bus for the sins of sports hunters and trigger happy gun owners. Pinheads against pinheads with nothing in between. Save us from these ideological airheads and the government that thrives and takes advantage of their devisivness.
