Calaveras Sheriff "round files" charges against friends?

What a morning this has been. I've been visited by the District Attorney about repeated problems we've had with a certain neighbor, his wife and their friend.

While we were talking, a Calaveras Sheriff's Deptuy drove up and came in.  The DA said that one of the cases I had reported last year had disappeared.

Then the deputy came in and although I asked the DA to stay and be a witness, she left. The deputy told me that a complaint I had filed directly through the Sheriff, had never been written up.

He tried to say that he simply forgot. He didn't mention that the person I had made the complaint against was a friend of the Sheriff.

He didn't mention that I had sent many requests for information on the case over past months.  He didn't mention that it was the Sheriff himself who told me who the perpetrator was.

No, he didn't say that Sheriff Kuntz had received an email from this person on his home computer the night before, admitting to the crime, telling him it was all just a joke.

He didn't mention that Sheriff Kuntz told me who it was that sent him the email admitting to the crime.

Over the past months I had questioned the DA if they had turned Sheriff Kuntz email over to her as evidence.

Finally, the DA found out that the case had never been filed, and in fact, had never even been written up.  The evidence the Sheriff had, the email was not turned over at all.

I have now written a Grand Jury complaint against the Sheriff. Failing to turn over evidence. Intentionally not writing a case that was reported because it was a friend.

This is corruption!! Very common in Calaveras County, when people who really shouldn't have power, are elected and can't handle the job fairly. More coming!!
