Orange County Supervisors Offer Settlement to Marine's Family

  The family of a Marine Sgt., who was killed by an Orange County Sheriff's deputy in a school parking lot, was offered a settlement yesterday.

   The family had filed a Federal lawsuit that Manual Loggins Jr, a career Marine, who was taking his family for a prayer walk at the school, saying that his constitutional rights were denied.

  The amount of the settlement is not known. The Supervisors had determined previously that the deputy was in the right at the time of the shooting.
