On Thursday, May 2, 2013 Calaveras County Water District (CCWD), is holding a Special meeting at 9 AM.
On the agenda is a Discussion or Action regarding Increasing our water rates. HERE IT COMES!!!
This meeting is being held at the CCWD board meeting room. Our guess is they are hoping no one notices and therefore no one comes.

CCWD rate payers have been charged a cumulative 80% increase in base water rates from FY 2007-08 to 2012-13, 5 years. A 50% increase in waste water rates over the same time span.
The new cumulative 5 year rate that will be presented to rate payers will be a 69% water rate increase.
The wastewater rate that will be offered is 63%.
To get your attention, cumulative financial impact for the 10 year water rate: 149%
For waste water: 113%
Why? Because you elect people who never put aside money for capital expenditures. Their admission!
Rate payers pay close attention, in the near future you'll be receiving information from CCWD.
