Op-Ed: Ranchers get Disaster Welfare Payments for nothing?

If you complain about the poor getting welfare payments, you need to read this.
Are you aware that large landowners in Calaveras County are getting welfare?

Called Disaster Payments for FARMERS, in Calaveras County from 1995 to 2011, these ranchland owners received, according to the EWG Farm Subsidies website:

John V. Tiscornia of San Andreas  $99,600

Walter Valente Jr of San Andreas    $94,469

    Steven Wooster of Copperopolis     $74,868

Leroy Rader  of San Andreas           $52,002

You will also see on the list a Tryon, Whittle, Airola, Fishcer, etc., but these are the top 5.

Yes, we believe this is welfare, for doing absolutely nothing . So we better not ever hear them criticize other welfare recipients!!

And most of them are also in the Williamson Act, to avoid taxes.  How do they get away with it? They have a big LOBBY!  That's how!

Now you can go throw up!!

How come these large landowners get free welfare money and us lowly one home owners are losing the home we love. The governement won't help us. Something is wrong here!
