June 24, 2013: The prosecutor opened the case with his statement saying "F***** punks!" quoting George Zimmerman, and played the 911 tape, along with neighbors calls to the police, for jurors to hear.
The defense came out calm and collected, saying that this was totally self defense.
Trayvon's mother left the coutroom when the tape with the scream was played. The state must prove that Zimmerman profiled, had ill-will, hatred, and a desire to kill Martin in order to get a conviction of 2nd degree murder.
