A bill that would have re-instated day care for physically or mentally disabled adults failed to get a motion to continue it yesterday.
The bill's author Mariko Yamada refused to allow an amendment that would have allowed for profit companies to provide the care, and when therefore no motion was made to continue, the bill died.
This was one of the Medi-Cal benefits that was eliminated by Jerry Brown two years ago.
