62 Republicans joined with 172 Democrats to defest the $940 Billion Farm Bill, completely surprising and embarrassing John Boehner and the rest of the House of Representatives leadership.
It had been made public that part of the bill cut Food Stamps, but increased the subsidies (welfare) to the big farmers.
