Letter to the Editor: About Guns and Shooting Innocent animals

   Dear Sierra Sentinel:

Yesterday morning I noticed a blue jay who seemed to be injured. I picked it up and took in inside and saw that it had been shot with a pellet gun.

It died during the night last night. Nothing I could do for it. This is what people who are into guns do.

They teach their children that it is perfectly allright to kill or torture  innocent animals, with no thought to their suffering.

No wonder people who have guns are afraid to have their names out there. I don't want my children to have anything to do with them or their children.

     Angry in Arnold
