In early 2013 the Susan G. Komen Foundation announced that it was pulling its grantfunding for breast-cancer screenings from Planned Parenthood.
Since then, the backlash, both from Planned Parenthood supporters and Komen's own members has affected their fundraising capabilities.
The announced that the economy was the reason for canceling half of their races, but at least acknowledged that its stopping support for Planned Parenthood was a factor.
It's hard to say you support women's causes, but also be so right-wing that you are against Planned Parenthood.
