What is the official meaning of a Hot Dog. According to the Assembly Health Committee it is defined as a "whoe, cured, cooked sausage that is skinless or stuffed in a casing that may be known as a frankfurter, frank, furter, wiener, red hot, vienna, bologna, garlic bologna or knockwurt and that it may be served in a bun or roll."
Some vendors buy raw hot dogs such as bratwurst. They have to have a stricter health food standard than a standard cooked hot dog that is just reheated.
