Larry Witt of Angels Camp

On June 23, 2014, Larry Dean Witt lost the war he waged with cancer.  And what a fight he gave.

He chose to end this battle in his own home surrounded by family rather than in a hospital.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Sierra for their compassion during this heartbreaking time.

During these last days he was able to have 5 generations of love around him; His mother, brother, daughter, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

He was the beloved son of Christine C. Witt-Pejovich of Angels Camp, beloved father of Christina P. Davis of Stockton and foster father to Jean L'San Tisteven of Colorado, beloved brother Gary Witt of Modesto, beloved uncle to Shawn Greyshield, Bill Witt, Danese DelDono of Carson City, Nevada and James Witt of Modesto.

Larry was born on February 23, 1954 in Tulare. He lived and worked in many places and enjoyed
adventure.

He finally settle down in Angels Camp with his wife Debra Witt in 1986 and has been a resident since.

He loved the great outdoors, all sorts of animals of both sea and land, collecting oddities, gardening, reading, helping others in need and of course, ice cream.

His grandchildren will never forget the camping trips to the beach and all the ice cream their hearts could desire.

His loss is mourned deeply by family, friends and his dog Cocoa.  Although the world may seem like a darker place without him, he would want us fo fill it with light, laughter and more adventure.

Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Debra Sue Witt, father Willie J. Witt, brother John R. Witt, son Jeremy Dean Witt and nephew Ryan Witt.

Per Larry's request the memorial service will be kept private for family.

Angels Memorial Chapel is in handling arrangements.
