July 7, 2014: Cal Fire reports that the Monticello Fire, which is burning in grassy oak woodland and heavy brush is located in higher elevations of Yolo County.
So far 6488 acres have burned and the fire is only 35% contained. Potential for growth is high and the fire is in steep terrain, making it difficult for firefighters.
