Wildlife needy for water this year!

If you have a birdbath or
tub of water, you will see lots of
thirsty critters this year!
California Fish and Wildlife has let the public know, at least on channel 13 news, that due to this bad drought year, they may see far more wildlife around residential neighborhoods.

They stated that especially needy of water is the black bear, and warned that if you go out at night and you life near the forest, make noise and carry a light. They become more frightened of you than you are of  them if your just wave your arms and yell.

That is so cute. Last night I saw a mommy with two baby skunks drinking in my yard. They were adorable.

I almost walked into a skunk the other night. He had his tail up at me. I was MUCH more scared than he was.

I hear there is a small fawn that is living near the Arnold business area. Everyone is hoping it doesn't try to cross Hwy 4.
