House Burns after standoff

UPDATE:  We got a comment from a witness, who states they live across the street from this home, that it was NOT the resident who set the house on fire, but the authorities.

We have not been able to get a response from those authorities to this comment.

January 2, 2015:  After a 12 hour standoff, a man who had barricaded himself inside his Cold Springs Road home in
Placerville, set it on fire.

Apparently deputies went to the home to arrest the man on alleged domestic violence charges, and negotiators were called in when he refused to leave the home.

The fire severely damaged the home. The man was arrested and flown to a hospital with injuries. Why is this happening so much more often lately.

Just last week a man in Auburn set his home ablaze after an altercation of some type with police. Do the police simply not have the skills to deal with these problems or are people more angry and fearful of police now?

I think it was the cops that tried to say the scared man set his own house on fire. And we all know that cops lie.
