Smoke spotted in Bailey Ridge Road area

UPDATE at 4:50 PM:  The fire was just called under control. All extra engines were returned to their bases.  Good job!!

  UPDATE:  Ground units are arriving from Blue Mountain Road in West Point, in addition to the units from Arnold.


   UPDATE at 3:10 PM:  Aircraft is already hitting the fire with retardant. The truck in the area was mentioned again.

 Aircraft is the way
to go with fires in these types of areas.  They are doing a good job of stopping the progress.


   UPDATE:  The fire is in a hard to reach area, difficult to access. A vehicle has been spotted in the area.  This one is called the Bailey IC.

   June 14, 2015 at 2:35 PM: An aircraft has spotted smoke
in the Blue Mountain area, outside Arnold, near Bailey Ridge. Air support has also been dispatched.

   CalFire is responding. If you Google N708 you will see CLEAR-CUTS EVERYWHERE in that area.
