Asphalt Plant: Planning Commissioners support Director Maurer??

ASPHALT same as gravel????  Mr. Tunno who represents Supervisor Kearney, says YES!!

June 26, 2015 the Calaveras Planning Commissioners did everything to try and back up their Planning Director Maurer.

In what was a confusing, desperate attempt to protect Mr. Maurer from being fired for his failure to protect the public, these 5 Commissioners ALL said ASPHALT is the same as GRAVEL.  No tar, no oil products of any kind; yes it smels, but that's ok with them.

Mr. Ford's representative actually said that if and when the batch machine spills, they have a 50' deep crater that it will flow into, and that then they will have a chance to clean it up before it flows into the river on the perimeter of the property.

This is shocking! These Calaveras Planning Commissioners have made a decision that almost all property rights of homeowners to build a nice home are BAD, but allow an ASPHALT plant in their backyards and along their rivers.

Did anyone notice that Spellman was back in the mix, hitting on Tunno and therefore Kearney.

I think he can see that Kearney isn't going to make another term and wants to help insure that.

But no one in D5 is given 2 terms and that's a good thing.

Maurer got himself into beig troublwe and wants commissioners, who aren't very bright, to get him out of it.

You're right about that, and Tunno, who is an obvious two-faced worthless, well, you know what, voted against property owners who want to build where THEY want, but allows a stinking oil filled asphalt plant along our rivers. We've got to get rid of that. If that means getting rid of Kearney, so be it.

Give me a break. Spellman complementing Tunno on property. Take a drive on McCauley and look at Spellbounds front yard.
Tunno in my estimation is a true professional. You "Big Fears, Little Risks" whiners and snivelers should really concentrate on the real problem, which is, in this writers estimation, traffic on SR26 between Silver Rapids Rd and Linden.

It seems to me that this Planning commission not only voted down a terribe idea of a gun range, but also voted down a three custom home project on Pool Staion. They have now increase the traffic and put all residents at Rancho in peril on a road that is narrower than pool sation. I think I see Kearney going down. They only way to get rid of the Tunno character, tea party extraordinaire.
