We just heard that John Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has announced he is resigning at the end of October.
This is apparently due to the right or Tea Party wing wanting a government shutdown. Apparently they threaten to challenge him as speaker if he didn't agree to a shutdown.

The loons are apparently now in control of the Republican Party. This is the result of voters being uninformed regarding the proper role of government and the need for a functioning government to meet those needs. Look for another government shutdown before the end of the year. The US will become more and more like a banana republic run by irresponsible nutcases who have no idea what they are doing.
There are many in Calaveras County who will rejoice as this happens. They will rejoice until the federal government no longer pays their Social Security and changes Medicare to a voucher with which they are expected to purchase health insurance (a voucher that will not begin to cover the cost of such insurance, BTW).
These crazies are in Calaveras too. three on supervisors, total control by tea party. racist motives to overthrow the government I believe.
Oh, I totally agree. they are trying to overthrow our government from within. corruption is at its worst in Calaveras county
