Clell "Brownie" G. Brown of San Andreas

    Clell Gideon Brown, best known as "Brownie", passed away of natural causes in his home town of San Andreas on September 20, 2015.  He was 88 years old.

    "Brownie" was born in Long Beach, the first of twins on May 24, 1927. He was an avid Oregon State Bears fan, where he obtained his college education in pharmacy. 

  His career and significant intellectual pursuit was pharmacy and he operated Kelly's
Drug Store in San Andreas for many years.

   He carried on the family interest in weather patterns and statistics, and fraternity and service in the Masons and is now buried in the Masonic section of the Peoples Cemetery in San Andreas.

   He was Presbyterian in religious affiliation and opera was one of his ongoing passions.

   He parents, Clell Grandison Brown and Hazel Fern Lambert Brown, and his twin brother Allen Thomas Brown DO MD predeceased him.

   Clell never married, but is survived by his sister-in-law Betty L. Brown and nieces Cheryl A Neuenschwander, Deborah L. Rowley and Evelyn L. Prest.

    A memorial service will be held at San Andreas Memorial Chapel on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at 3 PM.

   Memorial contributions may be made to San Andreas Parks and Recreation District or to Oregon State University.

   The family is grateful to his caregivers, his friends and to the Masons. for their faithful care of Brownie over the recent years.
