Harold Leroy Hallet of West Point

Harold Leroy Hallet was born on July 16, 1952 in Houlton, Maine and died on November 3, 2015 in West Point,
where he had lived since 1993. He was 63 years old.

Harold was a handyman by trade. Through his work, he became a regular fixture and familiar face in West Point and the surrounding communities.

He could usually be seen working hard to help keep homes and property in the community clean and presentable.

He was a friend to all he met and always had good things to say about people along his path.  He had a gentle demeanor and an infectious laugh that quickly endured him to strangers.

Harold was very involved in various community activities, donating his time to many of the local organizations miscellaneous fundraising events.

He was especially helpful in assisting with the creation of a float, otherwise known as the Grand entry for the Lumberjack Day parade, of which he looked forward to year after year.

Harold was the fourth son of six boys. He is survived by his father Hollis S. Hallett, Sr., his brothers; Roy and wife Kathleen, Earl and wife Sherry, David and wife Hazel, Mark and wife Debbie, along with several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his estranged daughter Sonya Hallett.

He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene L. Lindsey and brother, Hollis S. Hallett, Jr.

Harold received much joy in the company of his great nephew Scott Konves and his parents Jennifer and Marc, all of which he carried many photos on his phone and would happily share those photos daily.

Harold will be greatly missed by his family and closest friends, Julia & Lily, Kary Ann, John & Honey, Randy & Roxy, Dave & Jody, Carl & Joan, Bev, Linda, Rick, Bryce, Emily, Larry & Tina.

Please join us in a Celebration of Harold's life here in West Point at VFW Post 3322 on Spink Road on Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 12 PM to 3 PM.
