Multiple vehicle collision at scene of other collision

   According to the CHP report, on November 3, 2015 around 1:20 PM, traffic was closed due to a solo vehicle collision on Hwy 4 near Stallion Way, below
Angels Camp.

   Traffic control had been in place for approximately 5-10 minutes with both Michael Bingham (72) of Angels Camp, (driving a 2013 Ford) and Holly Impink (61) of Copperopolis (driving a 1998 Honda) stopped at the scene.

   Ancelma Gomez (39) of Murphys was driving a 2006 Chevy on Hwy 4 just east of Stallion Way, approaching stopped traffic.

   Per the report, Gomez was watching the fireman holding the stop sign and didn't notice the cars stopped directly in front of her.

   Due to her inattention, Gomez failed to stop and subsequently hit the back end of Impinks Honda, forcing the Honda into the westbound lane. Gomez continued and then collided with the rear of the Ford driven by Bingham.

   Binghams vehicle spun clockwise and and struck the Chevy again on the right side.

   Gomez was taken to flown to Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.

   Bingham had minor injuries and said he would seek his own aid.  Impink was taken to Mark Twain Hospital with moderate injuries.

   Alcohol and or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision, per CHP.
