According to the Calaveras Sheriff's Office on February 10, 2016 at around 8:20 AM they responded to a residence on the 300 block of Sequoia Avenue in Valley Springs for a subject that was not breathing.
Deputies arrived on scene and observed a 14 year old female who was pronounced deceased on scene by medical staff.
The parents stated that their daughter was suffering from unknown sickness and hasn't been feeling well.
The investigation into the death is ongoing. An autopsy has been scheduled for cause of death.
