Angels Camp Police Seize Drugs and Guns

   According to the Angels Camp Police, on October 3, 2016 at approximately 9:10 PM an officer was on patrol when he noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Finnegan Lane.

   When the officer made contact with the occupants he could smell the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.  Further
investigation revealed that one of the occupants was a juvenile.

   A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed marijuana, methamphetamine as well as firearms and ammunition.

   Jordon F. Peters, a 20 year old Oceanside resident was the driver and registered owner of the vehicle.

   He was arrested on charges related to alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotic paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

   Brooke L. Hines, an 18 year old Angels Camp resident, was arrested on the same charges.

    A 17 year old juvenile was cited and released to the custody of parents.

   The firearms, which Peters stated he possessed for a hunting trip, were stored for safekeeping at the Angels Camp Police Department.
