According to CHP, Maria Shaw (25), of Spain, was driving a Polaris ATV on October 18, 2016 at around 12:45 AM in an unknown direction of private property off Hawver Road north of Doster Road near Mokelumne Hill, at an unknown speed.
Joseph Guidotti (33) of Huntingtown, Maryland was a passenger to the right of Shaw on the ATV.
Shaw failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway, then overturned. As a result of the collision both occupants sustained injuries.
Shaw and Guidotti were transported to Mark Twain Medical Center by a neighbor.
Guidotti sustained major injuries as a result of this collision. Shaw sustained minor injuries and was later arrested for suspicion of DUI resulting in major injuries to another person, according to the CHP report.
