The Heron with the broken leg

We just received information that the Mother Lode Wildlife Care center in Sonora got a report in mid-July of a strange looking bird dragging a broken leg in downtown Tuolumne.

MLWC caught him and repaired his leg, holding him for three weeks until he was able to walk and feed on his own.  Then they set him free to his own world. Thank you, Mother Lode Wildlife Care.

You can read about other animals they have recently taken in on their website.
