On December 17, 2016 the Calaveras Sheriff's Department arrested Wayne Hugh Varn (45) of Arnold on Linda Drive.
Varn was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged Rape of a victim unable to give Consent, a felony, and for Driving with a Suspended License, a misdemeanor.

He is not a rapist and you should check your facts before putting a persons name in the paper like this. Remember innocent until proven guilty
how can you print an "alleged" Rape charge, and one on an individual unable to give consent? This will destroy someone's life, no matter if they are found to be completely innocent. Doe this mean anyone can cry Rape, and the accused is labeled a "Rapist". Shouldn't this horrific crime be substantiated, and strong evidence proven before an individual is forever labeled a "Rapist"? Once Printed it written in stone.
