Despite efforts of Caltrans, removal of snow from Ebbetts Pass and Sonora pass is going slowly.They reported today that it will be 3 to 5 weeks before the passes are open to travelers. The sign in Murphys warns travelers they cannot get to Lake Tahoe via Ebbetts Pass.
