As of September 9, 2018 the Delta Fire in Shasta County is over 40,000 acres and is only 5% contained. It was human caused.
All Shasta-Trinity National Forest lands, roads and trails around the fire perimeter have been closed. Mandatory evacuations have been ordered along I-5 from exit 707 to exit 714.
