According to CHP, a 13 year old girl from Copperopolis, was killed in the 4 car crash on Hwy 49 near Fricot City Road on September 4, 2018 around 9 AM.

Powell, Coldwell and Morales received minor injuries and remained at the scene. Daniel McCubbins and his passenger Jennifer McCubbin (37) of Copperopolis were transported to Modesto Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.

The investigation continues. The name of the 13 year old is being withheld for notification of relatives.
