Thomas Gilbeau, contractor

Thomas A. Gilbeau was born on July 2, 1951 to Frank Gilbeau and Ruth Sifers, where he grew up on a ranch in Circle XX.

He passed away on April 4, 2019  in Sonora at the age of 67.  He attended San Andreas Elementary and graduated from Calaveras High
School in 1969.  He also attended college in Modesto

Tom had been a contractor for 30 years, until he had a stroke in 2009.

Tom always loved telling people that he met his wife Roseanna in first grade where he was kind of shy so he would ask to borrow a pencil even though he didn't need one,  just to talk to her.

Years later they hooked up and were married July 30, 2005. Tom has a son from a previous marriage, Erin Gilbeau who he was very proud of and 2 grandsons, Henry Colt Gilbeau and William Cody Gilbeau, ho he loved very much.

Roseanna has a grandson, Michael Sheldon Storey, a college Student in Sacramento, of whom Tom was fond.

Tom was a pilot, loved airplanes and helicopters, target shooting, TV crime shows and older ones like Andy Griffith and MASH.

He also liked going out for a good meal and gathering family at the house, watching the squirrels in his yard, naming one in particular.

Tom is survived by his wife Roseanna, son Erin, grandsons Henry and William, sister-in-laws Dottie (Gary) Smith and Julie (Jerry) Mattingly, brother-in-laws Donald (Jan) Roberts, Roy (Mary) Cuneo and Frank Cuneo.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 1, 2019 at the home of Tom and Roseanna Gilbeau.

Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
